Self-resettable protection contre les surtensions et les sous-tensions(OUPA) is an intelligent device for circuit protection, the core role of which is to monitor and intervene in abnormal voltages to ensure the safety of electrical equipment. The specific functions are as follows:

1. Core functions

  1. ‌Voltage anomaly protection‌
    When the line voltage exceeds (overvoltage) or falls below the (undervoltage) safety range, the protector can quickly cut off the circuit to avoid abnormal voltage damage to terminal electrical appliances (such as motors, transformers, meters, etc.). For example, undervoltage may cause equipment to fail to start or burn out, while overvoltage can easily cause hazards such as smoke and fire

  2. ‌Automatically restore power‌
    Once the voltage returns to normal, the protector will automatically reconnect the circuit within a preset time, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring continuous operation when the device is unattended

    It is suitable for single-phase 220V/50Hz or three-phase 415V distribution lines, such as residential sub-household box infeeding, shopping mall single-phase equipment protection, etc., especially for voltage abnormalities caused by neutral faults

3. Technical principles

‌    Intelligent monitoring and control‌
It uses a high-speed microprocessor to detect voltage in real time, combined with a magnetic holding relay to achieve fast breaking and closing, and the analog-digital design ensures accurate action and low power consumption

‌    Anti-interference ability‌
It can distinguish between transient/transient overvoltage and continuous abnormal voltage to avoid malfunction; At the same time, it can maintain stability in the event of voltage instability or sudden power failure to prevent accidental connection

4. Additional protection functions

5. The difference from ordinary circuit breakers

  • Normal circuit breakers are only for Over current protection, while OUPA is dedicated to voltage abnormal protection and has an automatic recovery function, and the two cannot be replaced by each other.
